Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and singer. Parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Her family was birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a skilled performer from a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before turning 13 years old. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. In addition, Bell started taking acting lessons privately. Bell had a role that was not credited in Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a member of the music and drama clubs at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school, and she was awarded the part as Dorothy. After graduation Bell moved into New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in which she was a musical theater student. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. That is the year she had her first credit debut with Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. In 2002, Bell was as a character in her first Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
